Why Guru Charitra?



It is said that Kamadhenu is in heaven and it fulfills all the desires.However,in guru charitra it is mentioned that it not only grants all the wishes but also wards all sort of problems and difficulties.In maharastra Sri Guru Charitra is recited daily with great devotion in every household.They are worshipping this book as living embodiment of Sri Guru and are getting all their desires satisfied  even now.

The original 'Guru Charitra' is written by Sri Gangadhara saraswathi in the language of maharastra.Sri Sri Sri VASUDEVANANDA SARASWATHI translated it into Sanskrit.He composed it as 'Samasloki' Sri Guru Charitra containing 7,000 verses are presented it to the devotees.

The grace of Sri Guru used to flow in direct proportion to the endurance and faith of  the devotee.Sri Guru used to appear in the guise of an ascetic before the grieving person and explain at length about the temporary nature of life.

Sri Guru Charitra also explain us that those who have faith and follow Sri Guru instructions gets benefited. 
A sincere study of Sri Guru Charitra fulfills our desires.It is 'Kamadhenu' and 'kalpavruksha' for us.Human life needs some ethical and moral values to make it worth living.Sri Guru Charitra highlights the importance of these ideals enshrining paramount and moral values.To be blessed by Sri Guru one should fully believe that Guru is the actor or doer.Blessed is he who knows the greatness of his Guru and regards him to be Hari,Hara and Brahma incarnate.
